Women were meant to live in villages where community was priority. Maidens, Mothers, and Elder Women lived in unity supporting each other. Support wasn’t odd. It was ingrained into the very fabric of their culture. Young girls had the mothers and elders to aid them when they began their monthly bleeds. No fear. Just transition. Support. The mothers had the elder women to go to for advice and help during their lives and pregnancies. Any physical concerns were discussed and supported together. A girls first moon cycle was celebrated. Pregnancy wasn’t lonely. Infant loss was treated with respect. Breastfeeding wasn’t foreign. It was normal and even shared if needed. Parents literally had a village to help. No one was left alone. Women had each other. Menopause wasn’t a curse word. It was a divine and powerful right of passage. The Wise Woman was valued more than any other in the community. She not only had survived much that would have killed others. She also was now the Oracle, her intuition unsurpassed.

Hello. I am Aspyn Wood and it is my mission to bring that back.

This website is the beginning of something we women have been needing desperately for way too long. I am in the process of building a FREE Database that will connect women with other women. This will be a community where women 18+ can come to connect with women who have wisdom in their specific area of need. There will be a questionnaire that the “wise women” will fill out stating what their experience is and how many women they are willing to walk alongside, as well as a questionnaire that the younger women will fill out stating their specific connection needs.

This will be a queer friendly community. However, the database will match women to other women who have chosen the same boxes. Religion and personal sexual preference will be boxes. If someone is uncomfortable working with someone of a different gender belief or religious belief we have taken that into consideration. There will be no prejudice or fear here. Pagan, Christian, Muslim, and Other, you are welcome here. We will have a box for you. We want women to match with like-minded women. That is what our program will be doing. The “Wise Woman” will choose who she is willing to work with when she fills out her questionnaire so there will be no wondering if who you were matched with will be okay with your lifestyle and who you are. We want connection. Not discourse.

Once the questionnaire has been filled out, the younger woman will be connected with a list of elder women who match. You will then be given access to the email address of the woman you choose. This is where the magic begins. You will be able to email them and connect with them for free. They will have volunteered of their own free will to be there for you. Nothing here is forced.
